I should be picked to see Joe for free because his playing has been a HUGE influence on me since I started playing myself 6 years go. Every time I see a show from such a big influence i get inspired to write music and the songs i write right after seeing a show are always my best. I would love to see what can come up after experiencing Joe’s performance :)

    Dear Joe,

You have been my absolute favorite guitarist since I started playing back when I was 12 years of age. I have learned a lot from you when it comes to making melodies that make the person feel it in their heart, make the guitar talk to the person in an instrumental form and the use of all seven diatonic modes in a theoretical sense along with other things. I am definitely going to be there December 1st whether or not you pick me. I have seen many of your concerts but would also love to go to one and get to meet you face to face so I can thank you for making me in to the player I am today and for making beautiful music that I can enjoy and learn from to further my playing. Hope to meet you brother!

Sure, he influenced me. And, millions of others worldwide. That’s unique. ;) I’m more concerned with his ‘feel’. No amount of influence can give you ‘feel’. You can only admire and attempt to tame that beast as he obviously has. Though, I would like to say that his was the first concert I ever went to, at Center Stage in Atlanta in 198…, blah, blah, blah. Surfing With the Alien if you need a hint.
Either way, I’m a big fan and truth be told, I would give my winning tickets away to an even bigger fan.

Hey Joe, no pun intended. I think I should be on your guest list because I am certain I would appreciate seeing you live more than anyone. I have only been able to see you live twice in the last twenty two years. I have been to school for guitar as well as taken hundreds of private lessons and you were the least expensive yet most valuable and influential teacher I ever had. Thank you so much for that. Honestly though, my wife said she’s going to cut off the fingers on my fretting hand if I don’t win these tickets!!! OK, she didn’t say that, but she really could use well deserved night out. We haven’t been out on a date since she gave birth to our daughter five months ago. Not to mention that the concert is the day after our anniversary, so it would be the perfect icing on our anniversary cake. Alright, I’m feeling pretty good about this. Big bad moon must be lookin’ down on me tonight.

    Your #1 Fan

Sorry, was that too creepy? ;)

As donkey would say to Shrek, “Oh pick me! Pick me!” Haha, seriously, I would LOVE to come out and see you jam on Saturday night. My husband and I are both long time fans and sadly we have never had the privelege of seeing you play live. My husband has been playing guitar since the 7th grade (although he’s still not very good and plays too loud which only makes matters worse). He rushed out and bought each G3 DVD as soon as they became available as well as the Chickenfoot CD (our favorite song from this CD is “My Kinda Girl”).

Joe, I am a 50 year old father of four who just loves great music and great musicians! Quite frankly I very seldom go to a concert because I just can’t afford it. I have been listening to you play for quite a while and would absolutely love to see you in concert and to get a chance to meet you would be incredible! It’s just that simple. I hope you will consider giving me that chance. Thank you! Daniel
