The campus is back in action with football season and students learning to be a “heck of an engineer” at Georgia Tech.

The center of the art at the Ferst Center has kicked off their season with Break of Reality on September 21, 2012.  Director George Thompson had seen this group in action in New York at a hotel that hosted the Beatles.  He commented to the crowd that he had no doubt that this group was going to follow the path of that invasion.

This was the second visit to the Georgia Tech campus for Break Reality, the last time they preformed outside so they were glad to be inside the cool theatre. The group is made up of Patrick Laird (cello), Martin Torch-Ishii (cello), Philip Borter (cello), and Ivan Trevino (percussion) and came together while they were students at Eastman School. By composing their own music they set a fresh and upbeat tune.

On September 28, 2012 brought a little politics from the Daily Show Live Indecision Tours with John Hodgman, Al Madrigal, and Rory Albanese from the Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

With a video montage of tidbits from the show, the three funny men went one on one sharing their breed of funny.

Coming up next on October 5 is the Japanese pianist, composer and producer Keiko Matsui.
