Toy Story 3 in Theaters Now – The Toys are Back in Town!!!

Ange Alexmovie review, review, Toy Story 3June 18, 2010

I had the pleasure of taking my kids to see Toy Story 3 for opening day!   I am assuming they are expecting record breaking box office success since they were showing this movie every hour, sometimes two in one hour!  We visited the Regal 16 Cinemas in Kennesaw, Georgia and we were greeted with Toy Story 3 things everywhere!  At the ticket booth, on the doors, everywhere you looked there was Woody and Buzz Lightyear!

My kids have been fans of Toy Story all their lives.  My oldest child is seven, and the first Toy Story came out eight years before she was even born (1995)!   We heard about the third Toy Story installment two years ago while on vacation.  A Disney worker told us it was coming out in June of 2010.  We thought that was way too long to wait.  Of course time goes way too fast, the day was here and we were ready to see this movie!

With their tiny Buzz Lightyear and Woody dolls in hand, all three kids we’re grinning ear to ear as we entered the theater.  I won’t spoil the movie for anyone but if you have small kids or even big kids that might have loved the Toy Story movies when they were kids, you have got to see this movie!

It is heartfelt and sad to watch as a mom.  It just shows you that all kids do grow up – way too fast.  The tiny voices change and the toys get replaced.  They move on and need you less and less.  Take the videos of them now while they are little and enjoy the chaos that comes from having small kids.  They will be big before you know it.  Just like Andy in the Toy Story 3 movie, they will grow up and leave for college.

Take your family and go see this movie.  The kids will love it.   Moms and Dad, Grandmas and Grandpas will love it.  It is very funny and a great way to spend time as a family.  We all gave it the BIG THUMBS UP!!!
