With great respect for the family of Randi, we have obtained a quote from the current executive director of It’s The Journey, Inc.

“It is with great sadness that we share with you that after battling cancer
for nearly 15 years, It’s The Journey’s founder, Randi Passoff, has passed
away. Randi’s personal battle with breast cancer motivated her to create
The Atlanta 2-Day Walk for Breast Cancer in 2002, and Randi’s vision and
commitment will forever be with the thousands of women, men and their
families who have benefited from her unwavering dedication. To many in the
Atlanta community, and around the nation, Randi was an inspiration. Without
Randi’s vision and the dedicated support of our walkers, sponsors and crew,
the 2-Day Walk would not be celebrating an eighth year of serving Atlanta’s
breast cancer community. We at It’s the Journey are proud to ensure Randi’s
vision endures into the future, and honor her memory by advancing the
mission of strengthening Atlanta’s breast cancer community.”

-Robin Cohen, Executive Director, It’s The Journey, Inc.

Thank you Robin for issuing us such a wonderful quote and as quick as you did. Our hearts are heavy for Randi’s family and friends and hope that even more people with come out to show their support in a little over a week. – Thank you! Ange Alex (thanks to 11alive.com for the photo)
