Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Gza, U-God, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, Cappadonna, and Young Dirty Bastard,(ODB’s son) were all in Atlanta Thursday night, December 16th.  Wu-Tang Clan packed the house at Center Stage!  “The Rebirth Tour” kicked off in San Fransisco, December 2nd, and will be hitting 26 cities ending in Minneapolis on January 9th.

Thanks to Sup, Wu-Tang’s tour manager, Ange Alex and April Bumpus of The Backstage Beat were at the show.  Shooting pictures and backstage with the crew.

After 18 years, they are still rockin’ the house.  The O.D.B tribute and the whole group performing Triumph were two of my favorites of the night.  Boundless energy, song after song, for nearly two hours.   No messing around, the Clan hit all the classics.

A few days after the show, Raekwon called Ange at The Backstage Beat and said that “Atlanta is the hip hop place, Myself and Wu-Tang Clan have much respect for the game there.  Everyone there is doing their thing and its hip hop, its Atlanta.”  He then went on to say, “We all had a great time in Atlanta, it was a Sold Out event . . . it was a lovely time and I have no complaints about it at all.”

It had been a year or two since they have been through this fine city of Atlanta and no one was able to give me a definite date on which they will return.  I know it will be sometime soon and you know that all of us here at The Backstage Beat will let you know!

In the meantime, check them out online HERE and have a look at a few of our pictures from our adventures with Wu-Tang.
