Yep, you heard right… it is not Sunday, it is Tuesday we are talking about!

The Church is coming to The Variety Playhouse on their 2011 US tour.  PURCHASE TICKETS HERE!

The band has been performing sold-out shows across the US on their 30th Anniversary “Future Past Perfect” US tour, where they’ll be playing three of their classic albums in their entirety in one night.

Recently inducted into the Australian Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame, the “Future Past Perfect” tour is the followup to the church’s “An Intimate Space” acoustic tour of the US this past spring. The band will begin the night covering the last decade with their critically acclaimed album,Untitled #23, and go backwards in time, performing fan favorite, Priest=Aura (an album not supported by a tour when originally released in the USA), and finally, their classic album, Starfish. These three albums will be played in succession, live and electric.

Reissues of the band’s early albums will finally be available in the US alongside contemporary releases, all on Second Motion Records. Fully remastered with bonus tracks, the reissues will come in digi-packs with rare photos and exhaustive sleeve notes written by Marty Willson-Piper.

“[the church] scrambles the real and the surreal with ease, rattling its stately guitarchitecture with howling north-wind echo and the troubled undertow of [Steve] Kilbey’s enigmatic lyrics.” -David Fricke, Rolling Stone

“Among the longest-lived, prolific bands of the last three decades” – Pitchfork

“the church still serve up shows with fervor… [and] have the loose-limbed ferocity that has propelled them since their debut.” – Village Voice
