Fernbank Museum of Natural History Hosts 2nd Annual

Dinosaur Egg Hunt on April 23

ATLANTA—Hop over to Fernbank for an EGG-cellent day of springtime family fun for the 2nd Annual Dinosaur Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 23, 2011, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., featuring music, games and more. This year’s Dinosaur Egg Hunt will feature age-appropriate timed egg hunts, thousands of prize-filled eggs, special activities and lots of fun.

To ensure a fun time for all, advance registration is required to participate in a timed egg hunt. Registration begins on March 14 at THEIR SITE. Space is limited.

Schedule of Events:

Egg Hunts

All egg hunts will take place on the Front Lawn.Advance Registration required.*

  • Ages 4 and under—10:15 a.m.
  • Ages 5-8—10:45 a.m.
  • Ages 9-12—11:15 a.m.
  • Ages 4 and under—Noon
  • Family Hunt (all ages)—12:45 p.m.
  • Family Hunt (all ages)—1:10 p.m.

 

Additional Activities

  • Inflatable Dragon Slide (line closes at 2:30pm; parental supervision required)

9 a.m.-3 p.m., Front Plaza

 

  • Radio Disney AM 590

10 a.m.-2 p.m., Front Lawn

 

  • Charlie the Dragon Appearances

10 a.m.-2 p.m., Museum-wide

 

  • Temporary Tattoos

10 a.m. -3 p.m., Great Hall (line closes at 2:30 p.m.)

 

  • Game Corner

10 a.m.-3 p.m., Great Hall

 

  • Georgia Bubbleman

10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m., Front Plaza

 

All Dinosaur Egg Hunt activities are included with Museum admission and are free for members.  Museum admission is $17.50 for adults, $16.50 for students/seniors, and $15.50 for children ages 3 to 12. Museum admission is FREE for members and FREE for children ages 2 and younger.

Fernbank Museum is located at 767 Clifton Road, NE in Atlanta.

 

*Wristbands will be distributed with tickets and must be worn to participate in timed egg hunts. Advance registration is required to participate in a timed egg hunt. Registration begins March 14. Space is limited. If you miss your designated egg hunt time, you will be given another time slot only if space is available.

Event will be held rain or shine. No refunds. Limited free parking is available.

Fernbank Museum makes no guarantees that each child will receive an egg and/or a prize. Eggs and prizes are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
