STEPHEN COLBERT ANNOUNCES SUMMER CONCERT SERIES “DR PEPPER PRESENTS STEPHEST COLBCHELLA ‘011: ROCK YOU LIKE A THIRST-ICANE” WITH PERFORMANCES EVERY NIGHT DURING THE WEEK OF JUNE 20 AT 11:30 P.M. ET/PT

Musicians Include Bon Iver (Monday, June 20), Florence & The Machine (Tuesday, June 21), Talib Kweli (Wednesday, June 22) and The Black Belles with a special performance by Stephen Colbert (Thursday, June 23)

A Second Song By Each Performer Will Be Exclusively Available Online here

NEW YORK, June 20, 2011 – “The Colbert Report” will be kicking off a music-centric week called “Dr Pepper Presents StePhest Colbchella ‘011: Rock You Like A Thirst-icane” with performances every night during the week of June 20 at 11:30 p.m. ET/PT.  Guests include Bon Iver on Monday, June 20, Florence & The Machine on Tuesday, June 21, Talib Kweli on Wednesday, June 22 and The Black Belles with a special performance by Colbert on Thursday, June 23.  A second song performed by each musician will be exclusively available at online here.

Musicians who have previously appeared on the show include LCD Soundsystem, Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers, Gorillaz, Cee Lo Green, Alicia Keys, Paul Simon, Neil Young, Tony Bennett, Willie Nelson, R.E.M., The Roots, John Legend, Barry Manilow, John Mellencamp, NAS, Toby Keith, Feist, Rush, Peter Frampton, Carole King, Elvis Costello, among many others.

“The Colbert Report” airs Monday-Thursday at 11:30 p.m. and repeats at 2:30 a.m. the same night and at 10:00 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. the following day (all times ET/PT).
