Six Flags Looking for Dancers!

Six Flags Over Georgia is holding a casting call for performers to be a part of iLuminate: an all-new show experience featuring state-of-the-art light-up costumes, set to make its debut at the theme park in May.  The auditions will be held at Gotta Dance Atlanta on Saturday, February 4, 2012.

Many will recognize this costume technology from a talent show that aired nationally in summer, 2011.  This is a rare opportunity to be a part of a cutting-edge production that will be sure to thrill thousands of theme park guests this summer.

Performers interested in attending the auditions need to be able to perform difficult choreography and/or tricks in the dark and cannot be easily affected by lighting effects (such as flashing lights) on their body.

The park is looking for professional, experienced, detail oriented and open minded dancers who can work with both choreography and improvisational techniques that lead to set movement.

The following schedule will be in place for the auditions:

10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.:           Contemporary/Jazz Dancers (Please bring Pointe shoes)
1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.:             Hip-Hop Dancers
4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.:             Specialty Dancers including Breakers, Poppers, Lockers, Ball
Room Dancers, Gymnasts, Rhythmic Gymnasts, and stuntmen

Participants must arrive one hour prior to the appropriate audition time with a headshot, resume, and any date conflicts for registration.  Gotta Dance Atlanta is located at 778 Ellsworth Industrial Drive, NW in Atlanta.
