. . . at Rockmaggedon and Bitchin’ Burlesque Show! Countdown to Rockmaggedon is almost over! Tomorrow night, Friday, September 16, the planets will align for Rockmaggedon & Bitchin’ Burlesque Show step in and take over Smith’s Olde Bar (SOB) in the upstairs music room. The bands throwing down and battling it out for your eardrums will be Asphalt Valentine, The Sexual Side Effect, and rockin’ headliner The Issues. New Orleans Jon will be hosting as the Master of Rock & Bitchin’ Burlesque for the evening.

Asphalt Valentine, a five-piece Atlanta band will be performing songs with the true spirit of rock n’ roll in mind…You know, “How’s about you and me, mix a little gasoline, just to see how long, we can make it burn” type “Strip Rock and Roll.”

Post-punk and 70’s glam rock The Sexual Side Effect will give you an earful of The SSE experience, which is a highly-charged, heart and pulse throbbing shake you in your shoes sound. Finishing up their debut EP, this four piece band plans to tour soon, and lead singer/guitarist Amber Taylor is starring in an upcoming music TV series to be announced in 2012. Can you say, “Way too much rock for one hand?”

Then you have the heavy weight of Rockmaggedon, The Issues. Here to rock your face off and take no prisoners, The Issues are a three piece hard pop/rock band ready to set the SOB on fire with a bombstatic performance. Get ready for some unadulterated rock n’ roll by The Issues, an official Budweiser band that has ranked in the top 6 for original bands in the Southeast for BMIs Independent Music World Series and also ranked in the top 500 for Billboard Magazine’s Annual Song Writing Contest. You might have even heard music off their Alien Tattooed Lover EP on TV, film, and in national advertising campaigns. Show ‘em you know how to rock out and bring your best girl or guy and a fabulous rockstar sneer because Rockmaggedon will only happen once in your lifetime!

Mon Cherie’s Va Va Voom – Bitchin’ Burlesque performances throughout the night will be danced by Katarina Laveaux, The Chameleon Queen, Mina, Scarlett Page, and Lola Lesoleil.

There will be a rockin’ bazaar for all your rock n’ roll, skull & crossbone-lovin’ souls and a blowout battle raffle to win edgy rockstar prizes. So, this is your final countdown to plan a trip over to Smith’s Olde Bar tomorrow night to experience the show to end all shows, Rockmaggedon & Bitchin’ Burlesque Show!

Doors open at 8pm. There is a $10 cover charge. 21+ only.
