Yesterday was “Georgia Music Day,” as recognized by both the Georgia House of Representatives and the State Senate, to identify the impact of Georgia’s music industry on this great state. Partners for this event include Georgia Music Partners (GMP), a nonprofit organization which promotes the music industry in Georgia, The Recording Academy® Atlanta Chapter, and the The Film, Music and Digital Entertainment Office of the Georgia Department of Economic Development (GDEcD).

 

Artists from diverse genres attended including: Johnny Colt (Black Crowes/Train); Chuck Leavell (Rolling Stones); Mac Powell (Third Day); Corey Smith; Robert Spano (Music Director, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra); Kristian and Brandon Bush (Sugarland); Coy Bowles and John Hopkins (Zac Brown Band); Anthony David; and David V. Johnson (Drivin N Cryin).
