This year’s festival will be headlined by Black Sabbath, Metallica and Prodigy.

This will be FOZZY’s second Download appearance – they first appeared on the festival in 2008. Chris Jericho recorded an exclusive video talking about this year’s appearance on Download, click here to view.

The brainchild of Rich Ward and Chris Jericho, FOZZY was formed a decade ago out of a passion for hard rock and heavy metal and has transformed into one of North America’s most electrifying bands. They are currently recording their Century Media Records debut, which is scheduled for a worldwide release this summer. The band will release their first single from the new album in May.

The album will be the follow-up to their acclaimed 2010 release Chasing The Grail, which saw them tour 15 countries around the world and perform in cities from Los Angeles to Lichtenvoorde, including an appearance alongside metal’s Big 4 – Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax – on the Knebworth Sonisphere, and a string of dates on the 2011 Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar Festival headlined by Avenged Sevenfold.

Also, for the third year in a row, FOZZY frontman Chris Jericho will be hosting the Revolver Golden Gods Awards . The fourth annual award show will be held at the Club Nokia in Los Angeles on April 11 and be broadcast live via XBOX Live. The event will feature performances by Marilyn Manson, Slash, Evanescence and more, and will present awards for outstanding musicians in eleven different categories.
