Local Atlanta journalist, blogger, and wrestling fanatic extraordinaire, Jonathan Williams, has organized one hell of a shin dig for his Wrestling with Pop Culture one year anniversary party at the Masquerade on Wednesday, March 28. His website, Wrestling with Pop Culture, is about his musing, ponderings, and ramblings, on anything pop culture related (film, music, art, comics, toys, and books) and, of course, wrestling! In true pop culture fashion, the one year anniversary celebration will include monsters, wrestling, and rock ‘n’ roll.

This event is the official after-party for the Atlanta Film Festival and festival attendees will get free admission into the party when you show your film fest pass. The party starts immediately after the Atlanta Film Fest screening of the Platinum Championship Wrestling documentary “The Booker” at the Midtown Art Cinema.

The Sexual Side Effect’s Amber Taylor will be emceeing the event and night’s festivities. Wrasslin’ lovers will love it when Platinum Championship Wrestling takes on Monstrosity Championship Wrestling for the after-party brawl. Monstrosity Championship Wrestling will feature Prof. Morte from the Silver Scream SpookShow and other creatures of the night. Hard rock act Needeep and pop punk Death is a Dialogue will be rockin’ it for your aural pleasure. There will also be luchador-inspired body painting by Neon Armour, and raffle prizes from Pabst Blue Ribbon, Criminal Records, Adrenaline Fitness, Chocolate F/X, monster art by Dave Cook, sideshow banner art by Zomberella, Monster Joe Coffee, Silver Scream SpookShow and more!

The party starts at 9 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance, $10 at the door. Admission is free with an Atlanta Film Fest ticket.
