While Film Viewed on Giant Screen

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will bring the soundtrack of The Matrix to life in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center on Saturday, July 14, 2012, at 8:00 p.m. Guest Conductor Donald Davis will lead the Orchestra in the score from the movie, which will be shown on a giant screen.

The Matrix, which was released in 1999, is a science-fiction action film starring Keanu Reeves. In the film, Reeves plays a computer programmer named Neo who discovers the “reality” in which he lives is actually a simulated world designed by sentient machines to subdue the human population. Neo garners support from other people who have been freed from this alternate reality and launches an uprising against the machines.
