[box]WINNER: JON JONES via unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 50-45)[/box]
Jon Jones, with a 10-inch reach advantage and a five-inch height advantage, has all the physical tools he would need. Jones’ conditioning and skills were all too much for Rashad Evans, who failed to take the light-heavyweight title from him.
After an intense buildup following a fall out between the former training partners, this main event lacked the ‘bang’ that most thought would be there. Jones shut down his former teammate with a well-balanced striking attack. Evans struggled throughout to land strikes and take-downs.
After the fight:
It’s definitely my most satisfying victory. It was very important to me. I was a little surprised I didn’t put him away. That was my goal. – JON JONES

He was pretty crafty and tricky. He was creative and kept me on my toes. I’ve got to give it up to him, he had those sneaky elbows that kept getting in there, and I had the wrong game plan in there. – RASHAD EVANS
