Comedy Central Is Making Friday Nights Funnier

Fans of the hit series “Comedy Central Presents” will most likely have another new show to add to their rotation starting May 11th. “The Half Hour”, much like its predecessor, will showcase 30 minute standup specials performed by veterans in the industry like “Chappelle Show” co-creator- Neal Brennan, along with some of the most irreverent up and comers out there like Brendon Walsh. If you’ve never seen Brendon before, trust me, he will destroy you.

One of the coolest things about “The Half Hour” is that all of the comics showcased are newbies when it comes to having solo Comedy Central specials. As a result, it may be the first time you’ve ever seen them perform which, for comedy nerds, always adds intrigue. That being said, there will be no added incentive required to lure anyone who is apart of OR follows the Atlanta comedy scene to watch the premier on May 11th. Local favorite, Rory Scovel, will be kicking off the series and showing the nation what his fans in the Southeast have known for some time…his sets are undeniable comedic genius. Maybe you saw his hilarious double booking with Jon Dore on Conan or possibly tearing it up on Jimmy Fallon.

Either way, 5 minutes is not enough time to fully appreciate what this dude has to offer. Oh whatever, just watch the preview  if you don’t believe me.

Friday-May 11th-11 P.M.-Tune in and show your appreciation to Comedy Central for providing some new standup for us folks who just wanna lay on the couch and laugh after a long week at work. Without them, we might have to get dressed and leave the house. The horror!
