Atlanta’s own Alliance Theatre presents the world premiere of Ghost Brothers of Darkland County, the much-anticipated new musical mystery, boasting a haunting book by legendary suspense author Stephen King, and a blues-roots score by Rock and Roll Hall of Famer John Mellencamp. In addition to the impressive behind-the-scenes lineup, the show stars Tony-winner Shuler Hensley, Tony-nominee Emily Skinner, Justin Guarini (American Idol) and actor-blues musician Jake LaBotz. Set in small-town Mississippi, a youngster witnesses the tragic deaths of his two feuding older brothers and a young girl at the family’s vacation cabin. Some 40 years later, he returns with his own two sons, and the past comes back to haunt him — literally. Grammy and Oscar-winning roots rock producer T-Bone Burnett (O Brother, Where Art Thou?) is the musical director for this powerful Southern Gothic tale.
