A slight hum fills the room with a few tight lipped grunts here and there filled with a room full of human canvases. What else could this be than the 16th Annual Tattoo Expo. This celebration held from June 28 through July 1 at the Crowne Plaza Powers Ferry.

This is a wild mixture of hipness and cool rolled together with this sub culture of tattoos.  The bright color portraits stand out as you see tributes, creative scapes, and the classic retro pin-up girl.

The booths are lined wall to wall in the large ballrooms. Everything you could imagine from seminars, displays, and even the original side show act of Chris Steele, aka Capt’n Stab-Tuggo who just came from a whirlwind of adventure with the America’s Got Talent television show where he and his lovely bride made the top finals.

Even a daily tattoo of the day was celebrated.

The festival was filled with bands, parties, and even a bikini contest next to the pool in the one hundred and six degree heat.  These ten lovely ladies warned the audience as they showcased to a panel of judges. Lady Danger took the top five hundred dollar prize with her patriotic red and white Itsy bitsy teeny weeny bikini with matching red umbrella.
