Fuel entered the studio on March 8, 2012 to record their fifth full length studio album. Eddie Wohl, producer of the World Fire Brigade album, will produce the new Fuel album. The first pictures from the studio were released on Friday March 8, 2012. Brett confirmed that they were in the pre-production phase of recording and that Ken Schalk will begin laying down the drum tracks soon. It is still unknown when exactly the new record will be released, but the band is pushing for a mid-2012 release.

On March 11, 2012, Ken Schalk finished laying down all the drum tracks for the album. Guitar recording is scheduled for the coming weeks. Of the 18 tracks selected for the record, the songs “Headache” and “I Can See the Sun” were confirmed.

Throughout the month of April and half of May the band were laying down guitar and bass tracks. Scallions announced on his official Facebook page that he had already laid down 4 vocal tracks out of 18 songs written.  Fuel’s newest album is slated for final release sometime holiday 2012.
