Weep Week is underway in Memphis, commemorating the 35th anniversary of the death of Elvis Presley.
Here in Atlanta, we observe the King’s passing with the spectacular ELVIS ROYALE show featuring Big Mike Geier’s Kingsized Rock ‘n Roll Orchestra and the Dames Aflame Dancers!

Handsome Coy Bowles from the Zac Brown Band will be sitting in with Kingsized at the Variety Playhouse this Saturday.
And the effervescent Claire Campbell from Hope for Agoldensummer will sing a special Elvis tune at the show in Athens. Ooh, and veteran Athens rockers Five Eight will kick off Friday evening with a power-packed set, too!

Party Peoples should note the Kingsized Coozie Posse is hosting a tailgate party in the back lot at Saturday’s Variety Playhouse show, starting at 5pm.

Come give Big Mike a good-bye kiss before he makes his way back to Seattle where he’ll be performing in a brand new Teatro ZinZanni show through Feb. 2013!
