Being new to the Twitter (@T4Vista) world, I am always on the hunt to learn more about this medium.  Looking for books, articles, and insight into making Twitter a useful social media tool and now I have found a perfect compact guide in The Tao of Twitter: Changing Your Life and Business 140 Characters at a Time by Mark W. Schaefer. (@markwschaefer )

Using anecdotal case studies, helpful tips, and a short history of Twitter, Schaefer shares his insight as a media guru. The most important bit of advice is to do it, just tweet, share content and be consistent.  He notes that the average twitter account is active less than a week, most individuals get bored.  This can be a good thing because it allows a twitter world filled with users that have something to offer.

The Twitter community brings another resource that will be helpful.  It can quickly set you in the right direction and to learn from the expertise from others.

In the information age, where information flows many times over, the short tweet keeps the conversation going in a concise manner.  I expect to re-read this book many times and keep this book at my side as a useful resource.
