Out of Order at Stage Door Players

It always seem so easy to plan a tryst between two married lovers who are not married to each other. Get a room, come up with a good alibi and you are on your way to a sweet taste of heaven.

In Out of Order, mild-mannered Richard Willey (Matthew Myers) is looking forward to spending time with Jane Worthington (Jenny Holden) in a lavish hotel suite.  Forbidden fruit is the sweetest and the lingerie outfit Jane wears throughout the show makes for a bit of eye candy.

Then it happens, they discover that one lie opens the door for another lie until Richard brings in his trusted aide-de-camp George Pigden (Terry Guest) to help take some of the heat as Jane’s husband Ronnie (Doug Graham) is fast on the trail to prove their cheating hearts.

Mixed in with a little British humor, this round robin is a complex, ironic, and hilarious tale that will remind you what Mark Twain said, “If you tell the truth, you don’t have to remember anything.”

Part of the thirty-ninth season and directed by Robert Egizio (the happiest man in theatre), Out of Order is a joy to watch and you will be on the edge of your seat wondering what wacky twist the plot will take.

By Ray Cooney, Out of Order runs through October 14 at Stage Door Players, for tickets and show times visit: www.StageDoorPlayers.net or call (770)396-1726.
