Kevin McDonald at Dad’s Garage
‘The Kids in the Hall’ Star Makes a Guest Appearance
Thursday, December 6th at 10:30p.m., Kevin McDonald will be joining the ensemble at Dad’s Garage Theatre for a night of improv! With decades of experience and a long list of film, TV and stage credits, McDonald could easily be considered an expert in comedy. A founding member of The Kids in The Hall troupe, he established his comedy credentials during 28 years with them. Through his experience of making people laugh, he’s seen the evolution of his own comedy writing, starting with improv and flourishing into scripted ideas.
So, lucky us! We were able to snag him for a night of funny making. Kevin will be joining our unbeatable improv ensemble for the second half of a kick-ass hilarious improv jam. That’s an hour and a half of hilarity including 45 minutes of McDonald!
He’ll also be teaching 2 public workshops on turning improv into comedy sketches while he’s in town. One on Saturday, December 8th for beginners and one on Sunday, December 9th for advanced folks.

About Dad’s Garage Theatre Company:
Founded in 1995, Dad’s Garage Theatre Company has grown from a small volunteer led organization to a thriving mid-size theatre led by professional artistic and administrative staff that includes over 300 volunteers and performers. We now entertain more than 30,000 people each year at our two-theatre facility in Inman Park, public events across the state, and at improv festivals across the continent. In addition to outrageous original productions, Dad’s Garage produces improv shows 52 weeks per year, educates young improvisers in a year-round high school outreach program, and facilitates onsite classes and workshops for the general public. Dad’s Garage is committed to elevating the awareness of the arts in the Atlanta community through the production of original theatrical works, education, and the creative outlets found through improvisation.
