Lolita Snipes has a lot of spirit in her soul and wants to share that with the world.  Both her parents were in the church business and her mother was the first woman to be ordained as a minister in the Methodist Church.   Her path has taken her in another direction the entertainment industry where she has worked in for over twenty years.

I did note to her that it is not often that I speak to a real life “Lolita” where she laughed and said the name actually means “gift of God.”

In this interview Lolita focused on what is opening Valentine’s Day at the 14th Street Playhouse Good God A’Mighty!  which is story with heart.

This tale is about a charismatic young pastor that ventures down south and brings up to date a traditional church.  His not only stirs church business but ruffles a few hearts.  In the south there is an old maxim, “I don’t like to repeat gossip, so listen very closely”, so pay close attention to this message of Good God A’Mighty!.  According to Snipes it is the importance of “a relationship with God rather than focus on the building” besides that it is a “good clean comedy”.

Lolita wrote, directed and put together the score for this show of which Tony Award Winning actress Melba Moore takes on the leading role.  “Melba really takes my music to the next level and I am excited about that” exclaimed Lolita.

As to why someone should check this play out, Lolita paused and shared it is “perfect for any audience that wants to laugh, share, and be inspired.”
