There creepy and their crawly, BUGS! In the south we have them everywhere, however I have been known to save a spider or two and they still can make me shrill like a school girl.
The beauty of The Adventures of Mighty Bug at the Center for Puppetry Arts you are transformed to the underbrush world where Mighty Bug (Tim Sweeney) looks over this metropolis swinging to save those in distress. He begins his day with exercise and cleaning himself and you get a lesson in his body.
Mighty Bug depends heavily on the smarts of Professor Rhinoceros Beetle (Dolph Amick) and his love interest Morpha Butterfly (Alison Murphy). All is well until the evil Scorpiana (Amy Strickland Sweeney) and her gang sweeps in to create havoc.
This production is one of the best I have seen at the Center for Puppetry Arts and has something for everyone… evil… suspense… and of course a happily ever after.
