Beach House Releases Eric Wareheim directed “Wishes” Video

Dream pop duo Beach House released the video for their single “Wishes” today, helmed by none other than Eric Wareheim of Tim and Eric fame. It’s bizarre and surreal, so it is only fitting that it should star Ray Wise of Twin Peaks and Robocop fame. So kick back and let the dreamy sounds of Beach House wash over you and enjoy this super video.

Beach House and actor/director Eric Wareheim have teamed up for a new, wildly imaginative video for the song “Wishes,” from Bloom, the band’s acclaimed 4th album. This captivating piece stars Ray Wise (Twin Peaks, Reaper) as what we can only assume is some sort of coach at a peculiar and fantastic sports event or pep rally… in an alternate universe. It’s a uniquely uplifting treatment, its tone matching the soaring vocals of the song, and we’re profoundly proud of what this collaboration between Beach House and Wareheim has produced.

Eric Wareheim had this to say about the video: “Beach House, Ray Wise, fireworks, and horses.  How can I go wrong?  This is the first project that I’ve ever collaborated creatively with the band. Victoria’s imagery inspired me to create this special half time show.  It also helps that Beach House is literally on my top 5 list of bands, ever.”

It’s also worth noting that Beach House has some tour dates! In support of 2012’s Bloom, the band will kick off in Italy before crossing the Atlantic in the spring.
