THE LAW BAND is a hard rockin’ country act based in the southern music capital of Atlanta, Georgia, with influences of Americana, rockabilly, bluegrass and psychedelic, that appeals to both the rural roughneck and urban artist in us all. Their debut album “Dust and Aether,” released on December 21, 2012, complete with comic book illustrations, is a musical and visual tribute to all the cowboys, pioneers, gunslingers, hillbillies and wanderers who live free and write their own rules.

Inspired by the spaghetti western films of yesteryear, the album is set in small town America somewhere east of the Mississippi, where a wayward wanderer limps into town on his weary horse and only friend, seeking refuge, a cold beer and a willing woman. Just as he begins to ingratiate himself with the locals, a rumor arises that the cowboy is in fact an outlaw on the run. The sheriff storms in, demanding his ouster and arrest. A firefight ensues, leaving the old sheriff dead and a new sheriff in charge. He calls himself The Law.

Each song on “Dust & Aether”is a tribute to the cowboy, including tales of personal demons, cheating women, lying friends, heavy drinking, loss of control, loneliness, fear, death, fire and redemption.

The Law Band is comprised of four unique singer/songwriters and musical storytellers, combined to create a cinematic, multi-genre live experience like no other, with lead singers Chandler McGee (also on harmonica), Joel Nettesheim, AKA “Trappers Cabin” (keys, guitar), Hill Roberts(bass) and Nancy Kaye, with several records to her credit as “Rosey” & “Lal Meri” (on percussion). Together with Aaron Hill(rhythm guitarist), Zack Smith (drummer), Blake Benson(lead guitarist), Anna Kondo(background vocals), and featuring special guest Southern Ground recording artist Levi Lowrey (fiddle), The Law Band is the new authority in country music.

You can listen to and purchase “Dust & Aether” on The Law Band’s website (www.TheLawBand.com), as well as on iTunes, Ebay, Spotify & Bandcamp. Be sure to check out the music video for their first single “Crazy Lonesome”(www.CrazyLonesome.com), produced by Cole Cassell.
The gang will be entertaining live audiences all across the east coast in 2013 in towns big and small, so look out for The Law!
