Live April 20th at Hard Rock Café in Atlanta, come out and help celebrate with Stickman (10pm) and their friends as they release their debut CD, “Pull.” Pull is a collection of raw modern rock songs with high energy, cool melodies, powerful guitars and hard hitting drums played by heavy hitters located right here in Atlanta, GA. Stickman consists of Mike Froedge (Black Label Society, Double Drive, Speed X & The Dreaded Marco) on drums, Mike Martin (Fozzy, Stuck Mojo) on guitar, Trent Horne (Back N Black) on guitar, Scott Williams (The Dreaded Marco) on bass and James Terry (Stone Temple Pirates, Reality Check & Running With Desire) on vocals as well as special guest Derek Bently.
They will be joined by Echoes End (11:30pm) who is made up of five seasoned musicians who couldn’t take any more of the monotonous, mainstream, cookie cutter rock that we are forced to listen to on the radio….a revolution is brewing.
Opening the show will be Mike Martin (9:00pm) promoting his latest solo project. The first of which was the instrumental album “2 of 5,” originally released the Summer of 2006 independently on Serpa Records, and now available worldwide through Steve Vai’s Digital Nations Division of the Favored Nations record label.
Tickets available online:
Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door
Stickman’s debut, “Pull” is a 9 track gem of a rocker with aggressive modern overtones that keeps the sound fresh while unabashedly paying homage to classic and alternative roots. Trent Horne’s grooving multi-layered guitars set the foundation for this soundtrack that you’d want to crank up while driving with the windows or top down. “Pull” features an array musicians no less impressive: showcasing hard-hitting Mike Froedge (of Zakk Wylde’s Black Label Society and doubleDrive fame) on drums; – James Terry and Derek Bentley (You, She) on vocals – who both provide some unexpectedly gritty and sweet harmonies alike; and Mike Martin (Stuck Mojo, Fozzy) weaves several sizzling guitar solos throughout the album. GNR or Van Halen fans looking for something with a current twist? Stickman slakes that thirst with “Pull’s” hard rocking goodness. – Kadria, INVIOLATE
