After 3 years, Second Chance is still the only shelter in Cherokee County.
Got the 411 on No Sweat from front man Phillip May!
“No Sweat formed in the summer of 2005. Originally just a bunch of guys jamming on Saturday nights in Les Sumner ‘s garage. Les and I are the only original members left. Three bass players, five drummers, and two lead guitar players later, the current line up is Hollywood Hayes on drums, Bruce Byrd on bass, Les Sumner on keys, Billy Darling on lead guitar. All great guys and great players with more than 30 years of experience.
Our big road trips are going down to Panama City and play at Bike Week for Full Throttle at the Lucky 13. We get a lot of pub and respect for being just a cover band playing mostly classic rock. We’ve opened for J.B. Walker and Jasmine Cain.
People like to puff themselves up and brag, but I feel like No Sweat are not into acting like we’re bigger than we really are. We’re not trying to get famous, we’re just having fun and very thankful to still be able to do it after all these years.”
