Joe Gatto from the very funny and highly successful “Impractical Jokers” called The Backstage Beat to talk about the tour he is on which brings him to Atlanta this weekend!
Joe told us about what we can expect when he, along with his fellow jokers Murray, Q and Sal, take the stage this Friday at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center.
“What you will see if the four of us all on stage at the same time. We will be telling stories about our friendships that have lasted over 25 years, stories from the road and we will be playing never before seen videos that we made just for this tour.” He went on to tell us that if you aren’t interested in seeing something really funny Friday night, just stay home. :)
When asked about his friendship with the other jokers, Joe said,”You are talking about four guys that have been friends since freshman year in high school. This transcends the Impractical Jokers show and even the Tenderloins. We started performing together in the Tenderloins in 1999. We have had a deep rooted friendship since 1990.” Joe explained to me that they are business partners, friends, performers, all at the same time. They actually know each others families and are very close. Joe summed it up like this, “I go over to Sal’s parents house every Christmas. We are genuinely involved in each others lives, not just for the show.”
